Says Lauren, “My grandparents are high school sweethearts who are celebrating their 60th anniversary this year and my parents are high school sweethearts who just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. We just moved back to be closer to family this summer. My parents grew up in Williams Bay (my grandfather is an astronomer who worked at Yerkes and my mom’s parents owned Chippewa Resort.) I grew up in Williams Bay, too, and have spent many hours at both those locations (our wedding had several events at the resort and my sister was married in the observatory)

Extended Love | Lake County Photographer
When I get a request for an extended family session, I seriously do a happy dance. Growing up, I remember having a family photo shoot with my extended family ONE TIME. And I’m pretty sure I was 4. I don’t have sentimental photos with my whole family, with my aunts and uncles and grandparents. Those special relationships were rarely captured.
So, I literally jump up and down when families want to capture their relationships.
It is always worth it!
