When your house is filled with baseball and boys, and your mom is a dance, the whole house rejoices when a sweet little girl enters their midst. Emersyn is already deeply loved by her older brothers, who begged to snuggle her our entire session!

Her “Studio Delivery” session in home shoot combined the poses of my studio with the comfort of the family’s home. Her brothers could eat lunch and nap while little sis was the perfect model. We were also able to capture lifestyle shots of the new family of 5. Truly the best of both worlds!

It’s completely amazing to me that, at only 5 days old, you can get a glimpse of a new life’s personality. From his furrowed brow to his inquisitive eyes taking everything in, this one might be the strong silent type. But then his lashes are so captivating, and his sweet little smile might just melt the heart of every girl he meets. It’s clear he already has his big sister wrapped around his finger… and toe!

When I am invited into a family’s home during the first few days of a new baby’s life, it feels like I get to peek behind the curtain at the ‘real’ going on. I get to witness first-hand the teamwork between mom and dad, the amazing support of the proud grandparents, and the every-little-moments between the day to day routine of caring for a new little life.

Getting to meet Miss Millie Ann was no different. Coming a little early and weighing a tiny 6lbs 18oz, and measuring 18.5”, she is pure perfection!

When a family comes to Jessica Lynn Studio it is a privilege and an honor to be let into their world during the first days of their new life. Amidst feedings, sleepness nights, and adjusting to being a family of four, I’m so grateful that they came to me to capture these precious first days.

 

Little Leo (who truly isn’t so little at over 10 pounds), already fits perfectly into this Wisconsin family. And his older 18 month old brother (while he might not know it yet) was just given a best friend!
